Black Ops II Online Services Status Checklist
A dated checklist for separating platform connection, account, playlist, DLC, and mode-specific availability problems in Black Ops II.
Check the failure layer
The official Black Ops II support hub lists support for PlayStation 3, Xbox and Steam-era versions and preserves articles for multiplayer, probation, trophies and related systems. Availability can differ by platform and feature, so a failed playlist is not enough to claim that every online service is down.
Status page checked: July 14, 2026. This wiki does not infer live global availability from one local connection.
| Layer | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Platform | Network service and account sign-in work outside the game |
| Version | Game and required compatibility data are current |
| Account | No probation, restriction or profile mismatch is shown |
| Mode | The selected playlist or Zombies lobby is still exposed |
| Content | Every player owns the required map or DLC |
| Region/network | NAT, party host and local connection are tested separately |
Record a reproducible status report
Write platform, region, timestamp, menu reached, exact error and whether a second account or network reproduced it. Preserve screenshots without publishing account identifiers. Retry once after a clean restart, then compare another mode. Repeatedly reconnecting without changing a test variable does not identify the cause.
The official security and enforcement policy documents penalties for boosting, glitching and unsupported devices. Do not use exploits, modded tools or account services to bypass a connection or unlock problem; those actions can create a separate enforcement issue.
Update this fixed page when first-party status information or repeated platform-specific tests change, while keeping older observations dated.
Keep successful checks too. A working sign-in and lobby on one platform narrows the report without proving every region or playlist is healthy.
